I went to Death Valley back around September of 1985 and it was cool and windy during the day and got winder and much colder at night.

If you go up in the surrounding Mountains to see the Charcoal Kilns or the mines it is likely going to be even colder.

It got so windy I collapsed the small tent I was sleeping in and crammed my 6 foot body into the Chevy Chevette my Girl Friend was sleeping.

Bring your cold weather stuff. If you don't need it it won't be an issue.

Bring Sun Block for your face and other exposed parts and that will also help a little from the wind drying your skin. You also might find you need it for dried skin on your legs.

We got lucky and didn’t experience much wind. Of course, we were sleeping in the wagons.

Definitely cold...
