Sun Roof adjustments- Need Help

Hello All,

I took my sunroof apart to change the front and rear seals and the felt side seals. Used the search function on this forum and found some good information on how to proceed (as usual).

Have got it all back together but am running into several problems, the front rubber seal does not seem to press into the metal channel properly and doesn't seem to 100% conform to the grove that it is supposed to sit in.

Unfortunately the old one was shredded when I took it out so now I am not sure I am installing it the correct way. It seems to fit tight on the corners but seems loose and floppy on the straight run between the 2 plastic pieces that hold the wind deflector.

Also had to replace the motor and do not know quite how to get the motor to make the sunroof adjust all the way forward. It appears that when it lifts to lock into place, the rear seal has no gap between the roofline and the sliding portion, and the front seal doesn't appear to even be compressing.

Also have tried adjusting the height and now have a problem with one edge in the front being too high yet I have adjusted the rail down as far as it will go. The passenger front appears to be to low and the whole rear section when it is raised all the way up seems to be to low.

Have tried and tried to adjust it but just don't seem to have the right procedure or something is messed up from my reinstallation, even though I marked all the parts in their position on the left and right and marked where they were located on the sliding portion.

Any ideas on how this really needs to be installed.....??

Thanks a lot
Dave
