Tomorrow I will get back with results of 100% highway driving.

I got 17.2mpg with a mix of highway and city. On the open highway, at 60 to 65mph, I got 18.7 in the flatness of the Midwest...

My new goal is 20mpg without pissing anyone off.

Right now the truck is loaded with a bunch of W123 interior parts (two seats, bunch of body panels), my travel bad and two heavy cases of film equipment. I am quite optimistic on it getting up to the twenties! The EGR is untouched for now...

sexy, but a truck for a short guy. I remember you as being pretty tall, we were about the same height, maybe you a little taller. The driver seat on my 115 sits about 8 inches behind the B pillar. This vehicle has been walled off at the B pillar. You will be crammed in there, with no way to recline, and at an extremely upright angle.

Guy should have cut it about 15 inches behind the front door, instead at exactly at the front door. Looks like its been angled back, but still looks pretty tight. That rear wall does not look flat, a better pic of that would be useful

I am going to take a look at it anyway... if it just "looks like crap", it might be something I may be interested in. Their mechanic is Mr. MB in Tarzana, a very reputable guy in the region. We'll see in a few days. I talked to the owner and she sounds like a hipster (Echo Park, ahem)... for the right price, might be a possibility.
