Charlie,
I'm trying to sell the Brembo cross-drilled, camfered front rotors off my 300CE. They have less than 1000 miles on 'em, no grooves, no warp. Not sure they fit your 400E brake setup on the 190E though... Personally, the Porterfields are a LITTLE excessive. the R4S's for the 500SL/300CE are listed at a WHOPPING $139.00. Hawk HPS are a great street pad and for the typical $50, you can't really go wrong. Assuming of course, they list your car in their app guide: http://www.hawkbrake.com. KVR sells Brembo drilled rotors. You can get 'em anywhere, not just from KVR. http://www.brakeco.com carries OEM Brembo rotors as well.

EBC Brake pads

Guys,
I posted before saying I did not think the EBC Green Stuff pads were much better than the stock pads (when used on an E220 Cabriolet) and that some Ferodo DS2000 pads I am using in a E280 Touring are very impressive (Both cars using standard rotors).
I am now wondering if the EBC pads I should be trying are the "Red Stuff" version as they are listed for "heavier cars". I think the manufacturers think of normal weight performnace cars in the UK as the usual Japanese high performance models which usually weigh in below 1500 kg whereas most Mercs, particularly E classes weigh in over 1700kg. This may be why I am unimpressed with the Green Stuuf ?? Any comments/experience with Red Stuff ?
