Be sure and insure you have a good fuel pump, and relay is new.If you go to NOS site you will see how the v8 manifolds are now being set up.
Thanks for your input and help.

My situation is a bit different than yours because of my CIS-E injection system vs your HFM injection system. For example, I have a great big metal air meter plate right in the path of the incoming airflow that I will be slaming the fuel and the nitrous into. Your system doesn't have such a plate. I have to be sure that the fuel is fully vaporized before it gets to that plate so that it (the fuel) doesn't drop out of suspension and puddle in the bottom of the intake manifold.

On my cis beemer I installed the fogger nozzles in the alluninum intake manifold aimed at intake valves, the nozzles were installed 2-4 inches before port, this was on a BMW323 1979 , all six, I did not retard timing I used it for several years with no issues, I did use a colder plug and ran richer on fuel, I could not use below 40 mph because it would break the tires loose, even with limited slip and wider tires

Thanks for your help and information.

While I too would prefer to do an individual port set-up, realistically it just ain't gonna happen. As I said before, this needs to be cheap, quick, clean, dirty, and easy or else it won't ever get done.

The good news is that if I blow this up, M103s are cheap and plentiful these days, and, unlike M119 powered W124s, engine R & Rs are relatively easy. Of course my preference is to get it right the first time, which is why I am doing my homework now, researching the web and starting this thread. While I would be able to easily locate another M103, it's doubtful I'd be able to score one with as few miles as this one (approx 109,000 miles).

Rigging up a ghetto air-cleaner/intake assembly to replace the stock set-up is proving to be problematic. The air-cleaner fastens directly to the air meter plate housing, which has a huge diameter. And again, I don't want to have the filter housing on the exhaust side of the engine bay.

This project is going to have to languish for a while, while I put out other more pressing fires. I will post again when I have an update.

Regards,
Eric

I also installed a nitrous system on a Volkswagen size 2180 motor with dellorto carbs, started at 80 and went al the way to 150 additional nitrous horsepower, been runing for several years, used forged pistons and race gas c12 only, buggy weighs about 1200 lbs, total about 300 hp , crapped out at 80 shot, upgraded to a high output ignition and that did the trick, we kept up raising horsepower stopped at 150 shot

yes you have to always use premiun. But I ran rich,so know detonation. But it is expensive and goes fast when at 100 or higher.Turbo or supercharging is best.A stock m104 can handle 500 at the flywheel.Anything above you need pistons, valve springs, and diesel crankshaft.Electronics for engine, and trans, and extra clutch.

As I stated in my first post in this thread, I would rather do a turbo set-up but that's just going to take too long and cost too much. I don't have the time or money and I can't have the car down for the amount of time it would take to do the job right. For me right now and for this particular car right now I just need to do something quick and dirty so that the car will at least be able to hold it's own in the cut and thrust of the road rage wars of So Cal. A low 16 second car just doesn't cut it anymore.
