What the F are you talking about, the Citroens from the Traction Avants to the DS 21's{the cross between a clam and a vacuum cleaner} happen to be among the most functionally beautiful autos ever produced!

You are just excercising your patented anti-liberal bias, bet you never owned a Citroen or a Renault Fregate or Dauphine.

In my eyes the only Citroen Traction Avant was the only car they ever built that wasn't totally butt ugly.

No I never owned one....I almost Bought a very old Traction Avant but I was in Italy at the time and there was issues on titleing the vehicle for me that caused future importation issues...besides that was in the Pre world wide web days and info to iport was hard to come by when you were overseas.

I was in italy for 5 consecutive years so I did see many Citroens...there was a Peugot dealer a Block from where I was living....

So I saw a great many models that were never imorted here....and to me they were all Butt ugly.

The Peugot 205 Rally was an interesting car.....but a deathtrap in an accident.

This beastie was always one of my least favorites... UG-LEE AMC CONCORD. However, I have a soft spot for the AMC Eagle wagon- grandfather had two over the years.

This thing is horrid. I can't believe nobody had mentioned it yet.

Compared to the Pacers and Gremlins that AMC, uhhh, "released" into the public, that car is downright pretty. IMO, it isn't so much that it's ugly, as it just looks like the typical piece of 70's and early 80's domestic iron.

Let us not forget...

The Renault R16. It was actually sold in the US for a while.

Very similar to the VW K70:

Which in turn is technically related to one of my all time favorites, the NSU Ro80:

Although the ESF 13 was based off of the W114, it looks like a W116 with tailfins. The W116 and W111 had a child. The front looks like W107 hood+ W116 headlights, + W123 sidemarkers. Not too bad, I like it for some reason, I guess it's a "Frankenbenz."

If you didn't like that, here's ESF 22

And the 1971 ESF 05
