Exactly I'll take the roar of a pissed off OM617 at 4500 RPM over the whiny electric car.

Though I have seen some very FAST electric cars.

Yeah? I think I read something about a fast electric recently but for some reason it didn't stick.

Electrics are neat in theory, but if they actually took off in popularity, the issue of battery disposal would be a non-trivial issue.....

Yeah, digital imaging was supposed to be a boon to photography by eliminating all those "terrible photo chemicals." Now we're trying to figure out how to dispose of all this toxic waste produced by throwing out our regularly obsolete computers, monitors, printers, dye sub cartridges, batteries, etc., etc. . . .

That would work for as long as it takes them to disassemble the first one and reverse engineer it. Then they'd be selling THOSE back to us, too.

I want the batteries they use on the Space Shuttle, I think those work pretty well......
