And now the fun REALLY begins......

Just got loan approval on The Cottage for Ma and Ed. Close tomorrow at 3:00. Then we gotta get a bathroom thrown in upstairs, move a couple walls, close in the porch and make it a laundry room, and generally clean the place up.

Then, the serious fun starts: packing and moving Ma and Ed. Two of the sweetest dysfunctional people you'll ever meet. 1800 square feet of mostly crap (boxes unopened in the last 15 years, newspapers dating back forever, computer parts that pre-date recorded time, etc etc etc) that has to get weeded out and moved into the 1000 square foot cottage.

On the absolutely fanfreakintastic side: Ma is done with chemo. Clinically in remission, but probably going to get radiation at least of her noggin, maybe her chest as well. Oh - and, Darling Wife has finally plowed through enough people at social security to get Ma approved for medical assistance, and for SSI.

Which is really good, since Ed got laid of last week.

Good news is that between Ma's SSI, Ed's unemployment, and paying us less than half what they are paying in rent now, they'll actually be WAY ahead cash flow wise

Tried to tint my windows and the tint flopped over onto itself. Got stuck, and I kinda got pissed. Got that freed up, then the wind picked up, and threw tons of crap onto the tint. I got pretty pissed off. Crumpled it up, threw it onto the ground, had a beer.

Went outside, threw all the tint stuff out, and called a tint shop. Appointment scheduled for tomorrow. Project complete...

I'm just getting my mess of tax stuff together to drop off with my accountant and just keeping my fingers crossed that I've withheld enough that I don't owe anymore.

The bright spot tax-wise is that I racked up enough losses last year to off set gains for years to come.

I got a new cell phone last night.. well PDA cell phone thing.. its a blackberry Bold.. It's pretty awesome smartphone and not an over hyped iPhone. I'm waiting for my camera to arrive.. It should be here today... well it will be since I paid for it to be here but It better be here before I have to leave for work.

Had our taxes filed within hours of getting my W2's. The ONE time a year paying the ex has it's advantages! (Of course, pre-paids on the property taxes & interest, moving expenses, and first time home buyer credits didn't hurt either ).

Today is shaping up to be crosseyed from staring at spreadsheets day at work. Tonight, cat food must be procured (with 7 of 'em prowling around, the threat of them eating us in our sleep if we don't feed them is taken seriously).

Other than that, may swing by The Cottage for Ma and Ed with Darling Wife just to stare at walls and flesh out our plans for the next step.

Dyno test.

Back from my date with Julia at 3am; right now the coupe is in the Mercedes Benz dealer in Rocklin, CA. getting a lube service.

That's because it needs to be done before I leave at 3am tomorrow to drive to Los Angeles and San Diego.

I put it on the Dyno in West Sacramento yesterday, true hp est at 250, +/-, not a bad figure for hp at the rear wheels

The AFM tested out fine.
