Sorry to hear about Uncle Z, M. But glad to hear they're taking the best care of him they can. He's in our thoughts and prayers!

thanks, the only thing that would make him really happy and thinking he was in Heaven is if one of the nurses came in dressed as a Hooters waitress.

Just an update...

The snowball finally made its way to hell...

Yesterday's typing tirade must have have burnt someone's eyeballs down South...the "Fun"eral Home called Tom (Faust's brother) this morning, right after they got the DC and started the processes...

So......

Everything that I wanted to do/needed to do this weekend, is going to happen without me...

I'm "suppose to get some sleep" (from she, who is no longer with me) before we hit the road for Springfield, IL. early Sunday morning...then the entombment at noon on Monday, then the roadtrip back to La Crosse.

Maybe we'll get a little fishing in on Friday night and some during Saturday...mom would have liked that...

Well, off for the next 12 days. Headed to SC for most of it. A few days just outside of Greenville with some friends, going to catch a Sox farm team game, then off to Myrtle Beach for a 4 days of sand, sun and family fun. Wish me sanity!!!

Hope you all have a great week and a half! I may pop in on my phone every now and then so forgive me in advance for any cryptic responses or Hattie-like spellings.

Have fun on your vacation, Swamp. It's okay to go a little crazy.

I'm hoping to wrap up a couple of decent-sized sales this morning. I wore a shirt with French cuffs this morning for the occassion. I had forgotten what a PIA putting cuff links on can be. It's hard to beat the look, though!

Cuppa joe numero dos all in, and I'm still using folded business cards to prop my eyelids open. Where the heck did they put the nap room in this office building?

Work today, hospital to visit Ed this afternoon, moving the guest bed to the second living room this evening so Ma can be on the ground floor (she'll be staying with us the next couple days while Ed is in getting his head examined).

Debating stringing some lights up out back so I can get some painting done after all that dust settles.....

Realizing that back in June I said July was reserved for sleeping........

At this point, it's balls to the wall, pedal to the metal, gotta get the house done before the end of August (FHA rehab loan, gotta pass inspection by then, already got one extension). After that - all other house projects (well, the one we live in anyway) are off schedule, get to 'em when we want to.

Chilaxing happens in small doses. Zoo-b-que was a full day's worth that just needed to be done. Couple days ago it was half an hour in the shower with Darling Wife. In the spirit of the Janis thread, we get it while we can

Going to work with the horses today a bit.
Then head down to Azle for an evening Jack Pot poles and barrels event with D & Js daughter (thank God in a different division, as she’s way too fast for me).
Should be enjoying the small town equestrian life ‘til early am.

Have a good one y'all !!

- Shelby

Been "up" lately, Sid ?
