It's funny that I have customers from two jobs ago still calling me and trying to buy things from me. I had one call just this morning. That company went out of business not too long after I left. I was one of the first ones in a "life boat." All the deadwood probably went down with the ship, including the owner and all of his worthless children and grandchildren who were drawing paychecks there.

A couple of days ago I got a big check in the mail from a national sales contest I had one at my last job.

Excellent. Glad it's working out. I'm sure it will pick up as people get to know you.

I just finished mowing my yard, let it get good and long this time. I've discovered that cutting too short enables the weeds to get a foothold, so I'm going to the other extreme and letting it get ~8" before I mow. I did get to cut it with my new/used mower. Gotta love neighbors. Guy down the street is a pool builder, and is very busy this time of year, so his old lawn tractor with flat tires and a blown starter got pushed aside for his new Cub Cadet. I was the lucky recipient of his old one, which I happened to have tires and a starter for from my old defunct tractor. $0 and a fully functional lawn tractor is now in my fleet of 'things that require maintenance'.

Great! Since you have your lawn mowed, now you'll be able to come to the GTG in Chambersburg this weekend.

Wrecked the W124 on Monday...hood and grill damage.

Will post pics and stuff on a thread later this week.

Car is in the body shop getting a parts list. Entertaining the thought of converting the front clip to a 94, complete with the upgraded Euros.

Heading off to get perforated by an allergist - oh joy. Hopefully worth it - something has been driving my allergies absolutely nuts the past few weeks, and I've been without any drugs since Friday to clear the antihistimines in prep for today's test.

Looking forward to breathing and not scratching both eyeballs outta my head!

Getting prepared for a short road trip-- 1200 miles to pick up an engine for my 1949-50 170S becoming a 170DS with original style motor. On the way, going to buy lunch for my friend Joe B who has 12 Citroens after selling his 32 Fords.

He wants me to help him negotiate the purchase of a surplus Huey helicopter and an armored personnel carrier. The APC is his idea to pull vehicles out that get stuck in the mud, better than a 4WD truck! I think it's overkill, but hey...at least he gave up on the idea of a steam calliope!

This hump day find Dee8go really dragging. It looks like another hot, humid day in the DC area.

I am finding that work really does not appeal to me that much anymore. I used to be a workaholic in my teens, twenties, thirties, and forties, but I have definitely hit the wall now. My new job is great, but I'm really tired of working.

Sorry to hear that, man. At least you aren't a workaholic. Or even someone with a "working problem".

You would love it out here in Nor Cal this week though. It is about 73* in the day, sunny and dry with a mild breeze.

Perfect for doing outdoor *anything*. You have friends out here who would enjoy you visiting, again....

I'm hoping to get most of the new patio finished today (about 70% done). It's been fun trying to get the pavers to line up semi-straightly (?) working away from the two theorhetically perpendicular non-perpendicular planes , one being the house the other the concrete back stoop pad. I'm nearing the point where I need to figure out how to chisel/cut them to make and arc, though. Not looking forward to that.

S#1 has a LL game at 4:15 so I should have some time afterwards to get a good chunk of it done. If the mosquitos don't carry me away.
