She had come to a stop in traffic, when a new Chevy Tahoe plowed into the back of the our car. The people that pulled over to make sure she was ok said that the driver of the Tahoe was not paying attention, and was going about 40mph when the accident happened. As a result, the G got pushed into the car waiting in front....

Anyways, the little one turned out to be OK, just some whiplash, and some bruising from the seatbelt. Her friend that was riding shotgun was not wearing the shoulder part of the seatbelt, only the lap part, and smacked her head on the "oh crap" handle on the dash, but she is OK too.
Glad to hear everyone is (relatively) ok!

Glad she's o.k. and for those cowboys out there who still don't think they need a seatbelt.......think again.

Quarterly business review with one of our CM's Tuesday morning. Wrap that up at 11:00, rush to Dulles. Fly to Guadalajara for a last minute 'time critical' visit to two factories. Wednesday is 8-noon in one, noon-3 in the second. Haul two co-workers to the airport, hang out there for a couple hours til my flight heads out.

Fly to LAX (where I'm at now). Flight to Dulles leaves at 11:50 PM. Lands at 7:20 AM local time. Drive from Dulles to the office. Do some major CM arse whoopin' from 9:00 until 2:00 PM. Collapse in heap and/or go the hell home.

I really, really missed sleeping all tangled up with Darling Wife last night. And I don't get to see her for another 14 hours or so. Sigh.

Nope, the rate things are going with our fiscal year-end craziness and fun it'll be next week sometime.

Good Dog, man! Ever get a chance to catch your breath?

I enjoy travelling, that first day, right up until it's time for bed. Then I miss the wife and kids for the rest of the time (despite any of my claims to the contrary ).

Looks like I'll get time for a quick office nap, then lunch with Darling Wife .

Beating - err, meeting - with CM got a) pushed back to a 1:00 PM start, and b) extended to a five hour session.

Howdy, M! Sounds fun.

Working on my spring seed pricelists and catalog. Fortunately last year's increases on most varieties were shocking so this year's comparatively small ones won't be quite so. Quite a few short crops already, though.

I'm counting down the days. This time next week I'll be sitting on a dock in Key West sipping cocktails.

Only until that Friday evening, though. I'm going down for a independent distributor association manager's forum. I do wish at least the Mrs. would come along if not the whole family. But she's very much against taking kids out of school for vacations. And she really doesn't think it's reasonable to leave the kids with someone and have them deal with their school and after school activities quite yet. The first day will be great but by that night come bedtime and the next 2 days I'll be ready to get back home to the family. Yes, really!

This Hump Day started off okay. I was out on the road, seeing people by 6:30 this morning, got a lot done, and then I came to my office, did some reports, and now it has degenerated into a miasma of time wastage . . .

I getting outta Dodge on Friday. I can hardly wait!

I took off from work at 1030 because I had an appearance in small claims court at 130 and I needed some time to prepare. It was an intense experience. The judge kept shouting at me saying he wanted to know this or that and each time I started to tell him he would interrupt. I felt like I was on a reality tv show!

I eventually got most of my points out though and had fun watching him grill the other guy.

I think I may have gotten the better of it but who the heck knows?

I saw the judge later on the street and said hello but he didn't know who I was I don't think.

I also turned my tax information over to my accountant after that. He will get it filed tomorrow, the last day without a penalty. (2008)

I had been going into the office after supper and on weekends for the last week or three pounding out the numbers for the tax stuff. Between that and the court appearance I was pooped afterwords.

It was really nice to come home and veg out with nothing to do except take a nap after supper and watch a non mainstream movie with the lovely Mrs. W.

I'm mailing my return today, too. Good luck with your small claims court appearance. If you ever need any help with that again, Mistress has a perfect record of winning in small claims court.

Mistress, are you thinking of becoming a teacher, or is this like an in-service, where the local person most qualified teaches a class? Just curious.
