Call her back, go out for coffee, a drink, whatever. You never know until you give it a shot. You have very little to lose, she is very clearly interested in you, so why not? This is a gift, women rarely give obvious signs and make it easy for you. This cannot be easier.

FWIW, I knew my wife socially for years before SHE made a move on me. Not that I was intimidated, etc. just that she was in a group of friends and I didn't see her that way. Happily married for 7 years now and very happy I accepted her offer.

This was a "Last Call!" call...bars closing...I want to talk some more kinda' thing...

Call her, take her w/you to the event...see if she's interested in WHAT YOU DO...if she ain't - don't take the fork-in-the-road...it's got "pot holes" all over the place...

Anyway, make the first "visit" plutonic...if there's a 2nd time, move from there...first time date/sex is "iffy" at best...let her do the talkin' - remember? She said she wanted to "talk" and such...keep your mouth shut (unless you're BUSSSSYYYY!) and just listen...don't OFFER advice...that's probably what she's not looking for...

Hey! Mistress! Get on in here and offer up the "Secrets of Woman-dom" so Frosty doesn't screw his life up here!

If this goes on to Day 2, just tell her that the cellphone service sucks and you didn't get the message until late this evening...believe me...if you had MY service...that's EXACTLY HOW IS ACTUALLY WORKS...messages are in limbo for 2-3 days before they actually come through...

Do NOT excuse your lack of call/answer. If you fawn over them, they lose interest. If you make it clear they moved right to the top of the list of things in your life, they walk all over you. Make her work for you. If you're worth having, you're worth working for. Women are used to men falling all over them when they show the slightest bit of interest. Men are stupid, don't be one of those.

Reminds me of something that happened some years ago. When our daughter was first born, we had a baby monitor in her bedroom and a receiver in the living room. For some reason, it would sometimes pick up signals from cordless phones in the neighborhood. One Saturday night it began picking up phone calls from the young woman who lived in the apartment next door. She placed about 5 calls just like the one the OP described. Exact same line on every call until she finally found a guy willing to take her out. She must have been quite horny and willing to accept whoever was willing to give that Saturday night.
I clearly remember thinking that none of the guys knew she was trying the exact same line on multiple men. I was very tempted to talk to her about it when I saw her a few days later but decided my knowledge was best kept to myself.

I don't think sex or gender would have made a difference. She moved out quite a long time ago. She had a friend who liked to spank her.

If she's attractive to you, go ahead and enjoy. Two caveats:

1) As Mistress warned, she might be pregnant and looking for a babydaddy or wallet. I understand the current legal climate allows a woman to nail a guy for child support even if the DNA test is negative. Be sure to keep your torpedo wrapped in any case.

2) Don't listen to her crying stories about the ex, don't help her move, and don't lend her money. Do any of those things and you'll find an instant "Friend" label slapped on your forehead, and you never move from "Friend" to "Lover" unless it's on TV sitcoms.

How would they do that though? I mean if the guy adopted the child and the biological father is dead or gave consent, sure. But do you have such a case you know of? I'm curious to read the details in case something like this happens to me of someone I know.
