If you don't like the price of the B+G kits, used MS1 controllers are showing up ebay and CL all the time or you can even grab one of the knock off controllers. They still work with the same firmware. Again, if you like the GM ECU, use it, I just don't see a compelling cost argument here.
whats a free MLV where's a free tuner studio --whats a free tuner studio--for guys who live in an apartment and cant, tune in the parking lot with their laptop?
Does the free tuner studio come with a free tuning tech--ok now im just being silly.

Seems like the guy with the v12 who switched to an aftermarket MS spent $800.00 on his setup. most V12's got two computers controlling it--like the guy who used two 730's on his jag. If I had something like that and could do it with one setup -it would obviously be the way to go-- if including a custom v12 harness to the required specifications for $800-- that would be a GO DEAL for sure.

You don't have to sit in the parking lot. Turn on tunerstudio, type in what AFR targets you want throughout the fuel table, hook up the laptop to MS, turn on the engine and start driving. The VE analyze live feature will fill in the fuel table for you as you drive. About 20 miles of varied terrain and speed is all you need to get a 90% accurate fuel table. Anything after that is fine tuning. Save the tune on your laptop, try something different if you want, if it doesn't work out, revert back to the last known good tune, merge multiple fuel tables or switch between them for different fuel grades or E85.
Mega log viewer is useful if you want to use datalog of your drive to both manually and automatically adjust the fuel table after the fact. Its more useful in the fine tuning process.

I'm not sure which V12 you're talking about but for $800 I assume he's using a ready build MS2 or MS3 controller with a lot of off the shelf new parts. All my injectors, sensors, connectors even wiring harness are from the JY. I assembled both controllers from parts kits.

Heres the post. looks like he had to make his own harness. What harness plugs directly into a MS computer???

I would like to see how he modified the front cross member. I had wanted to put a Ford 302 in my 450 slc but have moved and don't have a garage anymore. I bought a scrap 280slc for parts one time that had a 302 in it and the butcher job was something out of a horror story. I don't think the job would be too hard since the Ford is a front sump. I talked to a guy that put a 350 Chevy in an slc but he had to beat the transmission hump up about an inch to accommodate the bigger bell housing. Not a pretty sight.

The left fender looks to be a different color, could be lighting but I doubt it.

If that wasn't on the other side of the country I would seriously consider getting it.
