Considering the horror he unleashed on his own people for the last 40 years, he got off easy.

I think it would have been better if he were captured like Sadaam, shown how hated much he is hated by his people, then hanged for his crimes.

He does look frightened, doesn't he? Imagine what's going through his mind as his own twisted belief that he's loved by his people and will prevail has just faced reality.

Its amazing how well significant moments in history are documented with today's technology. We get right up close and personal at the moment of victory like we're standing right there with them.

It also shows a bit of things to come with the next regime. Seems pretty disorganized, fragmented, and chaotic. No clear leadership to tell what they should do with him now that he's captured. Now that they've won, are they going to go back to being peaceful nation builders like our founding fathers?

This is a particularly good Daily Show video that illustrates once again just how pathetic the GOP really is. No'Amor Qaddafi - The Daily Show with Jon Stewart - 10/20/11 - Video Clip | Comedy Central The good part starts at about 6:19. The last few seconds about Steve Doocy is classic.

Read somewhere that some of the pols (politicians) want an investigation into his death. Something about war crimes. I would rather not see my tax dollars spent on an investigation into his death.

Too bad BO dilly dallied around for a few weeks in the beginning of the revolution before giving air cover. Had he acted swiftly instead of indecisively, there would be a bunch of Libyan people who would still be alive and a bunch of others who would not have been missing limbs. You BO lovers might think about this while doing your victory laps.

Of course wimpy indecisiveness is about all we can expect from him.

I do agree that the Colonel should have been smoked, immediately..and without haste.

Yes, and had the French more decisively come to the military aid of the revolutionist in the Americas, they could have saved thousands . . . those lousy French . . .

We have no business there to begin with, but what happened to BO's idea that he would pull the troops out of Iraq before years end? Now he's gone into Libya and now this, and even without congressional approval. He's just a shark in the water smelling the blood and enjoys it.
I'm so confused. Did you not support the idea of killing Gaddafi before you supported it?

I was always surprised that he never got promoted to General. I guess he just lacked the drive and ambition necessary to move up in rank . . . .
