Domestic Capital Investment should get you a tax break, not investing overseas. Ask Rush about that one.

What can you do Larry? Those pesky liberal/commies are everywhere. Maybe you should fly away to a more conservative country like Somalia. I hear good things about their views on strict religious practices. It might be right up your alley.

Very, VERY sad!
So according to you --Was protest PATRIOTIC before the sixties--but not after, since those engaging in it didn't just do what you did in 1968???

Since you are so upstanding/moralistic and /honorable, isnt it sad that you have been reduced to trolling on some annonymous internet site--instead of actually making some good use of your so called superior perspective-- You know , outside your door in your community.

I think that is part of Herman Caine's 9-9-9 proposal. Its a good idea, regardless of who said it first.

Of course it's redistribution of wealth. It's just a different redistribution than we have now. The Warren Buffet quote has been repeated a million times, but it is worth repeating again:
Quote:
"There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning." New York Times, November 26, 2006.

Warren Buffett - Wikiquote
I have no idea where the AWS thing is going to end up, but I predict that it will get significant support from certain Tea Partiers. Neither movement (if that's the right word) seems to know the answers, but at least they are focusing on the problems, unlike most of the people who should be leading the country.

That CBO report should be like a 2-by-4 between the eyes to our policy makers.

There you go thinking that you have a crystal ball or something.

Actually I like the Bay area very much. In the seventies I worked for a company with a facility on the Stanford campus and worked there a month at a time on an off for several years. I also worked for a short time for a company out of Santa Rosa.

An Army buddy mine lives in Berkeley so I've been there several times.

What you do NOT know about me could fill volumes. If I could buy you for what you know and sell you for what you THINK you know, I could pay off the national debt and make everyone on this forum happy, even you libs.

If you choose to ask such a ridiculous question, could you please frame it in a meaningful context? Are you slow in your thinking or something?

Oh I'm sorry larry, you're the one that brought up the violence at the Oakland protest so I mistakenly assumed you were versed on the subject. I guess I was wrong. You hate the OWS protesters so I assume you hate this guy too... or does he get a pass in your strict world of right vs liberal/commies.

1.30pm: Scott Olsen, the protester shown with head injuries, apparently after being hit in the head by a police projectile, has a skull fracture and is in a "serious, but stable condition", according to a fellow protester with him in hospital.

Adele Carpenter, who has known Olsen since July, said she was told by a doctor at Highland hospital, in Oakland, that Olsen "has a skull fracture".

Carpenter arrived at Highland hospital in Oakland at 11pm last night, and has been allowed to visit Olsen – a former US marine, who did two tours of Iraq – this morning, she said.

2.24pm: I've just spoken to Keith Shannon, roommate of Scott Olsen, the Iraq veteran who is in hospital after apparently having been hit in the head by a police projectile.

Shannon said doctors told him Olsen has a "skull fracture and swelling of the brain". A neurosurgeon will assess Olsen later today to determine whether he needs surgery, Shannon said.

Olsen, 24, was in 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines, before leaving the military last year. He had been opposed to the Iraq war even before his first tour to the country, Shannon said. Shannon and Olsen met in November or December 2005, and share an apartment in Daly City, south of San Francisco.
