Obama promised to restore our standing in the world.

How's that going for ya?

Quite good, actually.

This visit to African countries is not just a meet and greet. It is also a trade mission and so far deals worth $60,000,000,000 have been announced. That's a lot of jobs for Americans and a lot of profits for stockholders.

Add to that a sale a few years ago of $200,000,000,000 in offshore oil equipment to Brazil, all of it coming from US companies, and that is a lot more jobs. The Brazil deal is one of the reasons Oklahoma has a 4.6% unemployment rate since a lot of oilfield equipment is made here and shipped out via the Port of Catoosa.

The US has been at the forefront of economic sanctions against Iran, and Iran recently elected a Moderate as President since the hardline approach was not impressing Obama.

Q-Daffy is dead, Mubark is out of power, Assad is seeing his world being torn apart..... Gas is down to $2.95 in my area, and the stock market is bouncing around 15,000 on a regular basis.

And so far no country on Earth wants to give Snowden a place to hide out, even those the US is not that friendly with, so apparently the standing of the US is going up in their eyes. At least they don't want to upset the US like some NATO members did during the last part of the Bush years.

Yup... He's working out well for me!

I had a friend who's name was Adolf, born in the late sixties. Always thought it was a little weird.

Way to make lemonade!

Most of above had nothing to do with Obama or fails to include the totality of the event -- like Libya, for example.

Oh wait, this means you like a feckless foreign policy rich in bombastic symbolism and depauperate in substance.

Yawn....

We used to have a guy at BIG oil that only saw things the way he wanted to see them. Facts were useless to him.

Until he blew a Natural Gas line out of the ground and put a $3,000,000 hole in our pockets. He began to take a harder look at things after that and not try to fit everything into his preconceive box.

You wanted to know how Obama was working out for me, so I told you. If you have trouble accepting that I am in a position that allows me to understand how events Obama has had a direct hand in are making the world a better place then that is your problem, not mine.

If you did not want my opinion then why did you ask for it?

Surprising you is very low on my list of things to do. If you are going to enter into a conversation with a closed mind then why would I worry about convincing you of, well, anything.

Of course it is possible you might surprise me by reading this article.

CAUTION>>>>> This article does not confirm to any Conservative dogma, and it also quotes Republican lawmakers as saying the President had nothing to do with the IRS auditing decisions.

And I know that Rush Limbaugh tells his sheep over and over to not read the New York Times, but there is a reason for that.

It's because they are dumb enough to listen to him.

And then complain that in the good old days journalism was fair...
