No to the aluminum for mixing methanol and lye, PVC works Ok for finished fuel as does aluminum. For processing PVC won't take the heat and CPVC won't take the chemicals. Black iron pipe works best...

The 300d has a 20 micron prefilter and a 10 micron final filter. Why would you filter below these numbers? If the car was designed to run without filtering any finer then what would be the point?

Without the key it will not be possible to remove the lock assy as I quess you already know. Yes it is sound insulation and does for the most part part make a difference in the cabin noise level....
