to remove the right hand passenger side vent surround, remove the panel underneath the globe box (3 phillips screws, easy)

i have the same problem in my 1992 190E 2.3



the rear door locks dont go down when you lock the car. and the pump stays on for around a minute.

electrical issues are the worst.

the only way i know to diagnose them is to crack out that multimeter and test whatever that fuse controls.

there are some pretty smart people on this forum...

sounds to me like its a bad switch. same thing happened to my car. the recliner and headrest wouldn't work. i took the panel off and messed with the switch and was able to temporarily move the seats...

there is water in cylinder 3. so they are gunna do all the valves and seals and gaskets.
