Thanks for your encouragement MBenz. I will check in the Fastlane. One things for sure, I know you're never gonna make it to be a Benz-Spare/Parts Dealer

BTW - did the AMG96 mod work in your 93 diesel?

Yep, all the mods functioned IMmEDIATELY.
I have enriched my car with all possible options (the car had a sunroof only), such as: power windows, power seats, power rear sun shade, heated seats, illuminated vanity mirrors, self dimming rear mirror, electric folding side mirrors, front door entrance lights, AMG bumper lights, third brake light, model "98 trunk lid lock and last (but not least) the full automatic climate control (the car had a heater only).
It was a bit difficult to get the climate control of a petrol car into my diesel (the airco pump and hoses/pipes had to be changed to fit), but everything worked at once which caught me by surprise (to be honest).

So, whatever the dealer says: they do not always tell the truth (the last sentence is to be read: they do not always know what they are talking about.

greetingz,

Bill,

I presume that you do not like all the electrical gadgets (that tend to break down way to often)???
That is probably the exact reason why the W201 190D and W124 200D keep selling fairly good in the netherlands...
These were the last no-nonsense models that lasted long without any problems...

greetingz,

If Partsshop doesn't have it and you don't mind an aftermarket unit, I saw an add for this in Autoweek http://www.mitocorp.com/nvsmirro.htm
Good luck!

John,

Thanks for the URL. I've been looking for an affordable rear view mirror upgrade for a long time. This is an excellent find.
