any one know what the difference is between an ate and a bendex brake system? i need to rebuild a caliper on my car which is an 83' 300d turbo i dont want to buy the wrong kit of course

Some of the brake system components will have the mfgs. name on them. I recently inquired into the cost of new front calipers for my ride and learned that the ATE calipers were MUCH cheaper than the Bendix. You'll need to get in and look at what you have before you order parts.

I left something out of my last post.

A parts employee at Caliber Mercedes-Calif. told me that I could mount either ATE or Bendix rotors on my MB. If I had the higher-priced Bendix calipers, I could switch to ATE, but would of course need to do both sides.

I do not know if you can use either ATE or Bendix on your MB.
