instant oil change
In a former life I drove a uniform rental truck and delivered to a bunch of the instant oil change places.
Those places are a seized engine waiting to happen. I've seen and heard of many stories about stripping the drain plug, using the wrong oil filter, and selling uneeded services. When there one day I saw a guy, when pulling out the oil filter, ripped a wire out with it. Called to the manager "that's an interesting title and requirements" and said "I don't know where this wire goes", manager replied tie it up with something. He did and off went the customer. Those places are directly responsible for many ruined engines and transmissions. I am not sure, but I don't think they get any real training or guidance. |

Ps
PS> IF the wife goes to one of these places be sure she doesn't wear a dress, slacks only. Seen more than one kid get tossed for staring up woman's skirts from pit.
Of course I was there to do a job (uniform laundry) and kept my eyes pointed down at all times. |
