I sucessfully changed the dash in my 78 300D last weekend!
However I noticed the ignition switch is not centered thru the hole in the dash. Is it possible to loosen the switch and center it in the dash? Matthew 78 300D 143,000 mi |

There is a certain amount of up and down movement but little in and out (side to side as concerns the dash). The steering lock has a pinch collar that would allow most anything but it is located by a centering screw that pretty much positions the lock in and out of the steering column.

You can loosen the screw and adjust then tighten back down.
