in 1985 did they do crash testing i want to find results and pics of my 1985 500sel

Contact the National Transportation Safety Board at http://www.ntsb.gov/

They will be glad to provide crash test data for ANY vehicle, ANY year.

Benzman, go to the crashtest.com site. You will find some data on what you are looking for. Surprisingly my 300D is not quite as crashworthy as I thought it was; at least that is what 'they' say.

Yes, this is the way it is designed to work.

The car 'crumples' like an accordian to absorb the impact so the human occupants do not have to!

It makes a mess of the vehicle, but at least you can walk away with your life!
