Is it possible to modify the front seat(s) of my wife's 1996 E300D to make them heated? OK, now is it reasonably affordable?
![]() Our dealer said that it would require something like a chassis re-wire, and don't even think about it, or something to that effect (wife's translation.) Thanks, and BCingU, Jim ------------------ '96 E300D 56kmi '95 Audi 90 118 kmi '92 GMC Suburban 138 kmi '85 300SD 238 kmi |

Let's see...
New seat covers $1,070/pr Heating pads $536/pr New wood trim for switches $248 Switches $172 Cable harness $59 Labor ??? I would estimate $2,500 to $3,000 would be about right. ------------------ Bill Wood - Webmaster MercedesShop.com, LLC |

Hmm, I see what the dealer meant, don't even think about it!
This definitely sounds like an option to buy with the car, new, when the price is "nominal." Thank's for being here, and for your reply! BCingU, Jim ------------------ '96 E300D 56k mi '95 Audi 90 118k mi '92 GMC Suburban 138k mi '85 300SD 228k mi |
