The property is up on a mountain, and the road to the bottom is steep. They tethered the Porsche to Blue's wagon with that thick tow strap to slowly get the car down to the bottom of the property. The Porsche might not have had good enough brakes to keep it from getting out of control. It was a worthwhile precaution to take, for a car worth MILLIONS of dollars!!
The car was restored in the 80's, and then put away until recently. The owner passed away, and the children inherited all his possessions (worth MANY MILLIONS of dollars).
