Greetings Oil Burners,

Reference made to a 1979 300D engine.
I've read the posts concerning this issue but perhaps there are experiences not yet told. I seem to have a slight back and forth shaking motion felt inside the car while my diesel is idling in neutral or drive or park. I changed the left engine bearing rubber, and the right seems fine, but still it has the shakes. Are the engine shocks that are located one on each side known to go bad, and if so, how can you tell? Sitting still, would the tranny rubber transmit a shaking feeling to the interior. Any help in fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated. This problem just seemed to develop, so it's not the usual clackity clack vibration I think I'm feeling, but shakes your hands and butt a bit while at idle. Any other problems that could possibly be the cause please advise.

Thanks,

Charles
