3. Silver/grey powder coat
4. Color matching with silver grey outline.

I think I have already ruled out #1 ...

Took a while to get a set, but well worth it. I really like the new tires, and the rims give the car a totally different look.

I vote for

1. Chrome
2. Chrome
3. Chrome
4. Chrome

If you have them not just polished but "high gloss compacted" the maintenance will be quite easy.

I like the traditional silver. I'm glad the wheels are working out. Have you seen my H&R spring thread?

No, where is it ??

Yup, very happy with the rims and tires. Well worth the wait IMO. I got 4 votes for chrome, 2 votes for silver grey powder coat.

Very nice indeed.

I got the super beefier rear springs from Erik. His thread is on S T D dot com

I am very happy with those. Totally different beast with those springs.

However, once I source some nylon seals and get the precise O-rings, I will be getting rid of my shocks and springs altogether and going with a four-corner HPN system from a W126-W116.

The upholstery pieces are trickling in now. Beyond happy with the workmanship. Got the B-Pillar posts, both sides, covered in red leather to match the seats. Got the shifter console wrapped in leather (got rid of the red carbon fiber film), and had the boot re-made to match all interior leather. Here are some snappies.

I am now getting the dash panels wrapped in leather (finally found the ones which clip in and not screwed in), and the underneath black plastic wrapped in feintuft German velour red carpet. Those should be done this Friday.

After that, the main console will be wrapped in red leather and the same red carpet on the sides.

The real challenge was the arm rests, but found a craftsman willing to tackle those, and the door panels should be the last. The parts are being spaced out, but at my current pace, the inside should be done by the end of October or early November. At that point, the entire interior should be done in new red leather and red velour carpet.

Still debating to wrap the dash ??

I think a red dash might be a bit too much - see how it all looks in the car first

Don't go with chrome on the wheels. Aluminum doesn't like chrome and you'll have problems with the finish later!

Not the most flattering snappies, but the red leather covered AMG steering wheel just returned home from Craft Customs out of Texas. VERY HAPPY with their work. Interior is well over 50% done now, and the odds-and-ends will be finished up by the upholstery shop next week. I have thrown in the towel on re-webbing the seat belts for example -- going with the red. Armrests in red leather should be in any day from Mexico and I cannot operate a sewing machine to finish the piping, and other miscellaneous pieces.

When it comes back home the following week, I will make sure the snappies are taken in better light.
