gas prices jumped again today

Imagine that! It's thursday in the springtime again, seems like an annual occurrence. This is the third spring in a row where gas prices have started to drive up in March. Based on the last two springs, the prices max out around Memorial Day weekend or just after and then spend the next 4-6 months slowly making their way back down.

Gas just jumped to $1.45 (regular unleaded) here at the cheapy stations, while Diesel is still in the mid to high $1.20's range.

Kirk:

Recently I have been filling at the Crystal Flash station on Exit 91 on 131. $1.21 and the fuel is labled Premium. I like that fuel but I think all they added is some injector lubricant and cleaer to #2 fuel and called it Premium.

Where do you usually fill?

Bo,
Lately the project I'm working on has me driving to Muskegon 2-3 times a week from GR so I fuel up at the Coopersville Amoco. If I don't get fuel there, then it's usually Meijer's diesel out of convenience (of which I've had no problems with).

Bethesda, Md. Exxon Tiger Mart = $1.89/gal. 1/2 mile away, still in Bethesda at the Citgo at Arlington Rd. and Bradley Blvd = 1.49/gal. Only about 6 miles further, in Aspen Hill Maryland, at the Citgo on Georgia Ave = 1.19/gal (this was a few weeks ago, though).

I love the .70/gal difference with a span of 6 miles or so. That kills me!

Unleaded 91 1.35-1.45
Unleaded 93 1.45-1.50
Diesel 1.40-1.45

Well, I'm in Tampa, Fl. Here are the prices of diesel since January:

Jan/02 - $1.13
Feb/02 - $1.19
March/02 - $1.29

It is increasing in price. However, it is cheaper than gas. It's been a long time since diesel has been cheaper than gas in my area.
