(Takes longer to type out the explanation than it does to do it)
Trying to visualize that in my head, can't see how you get anything of size inside the cavity to pull/push the rubber part out -, man, it's in there tight.

On the bumps thing, there's three on each bush (that I can see, not eroded) and the same on roll bars - pretty sure, it;s just sports or standard config?

btw, my roll bar looks in really poor shape, just before it enters the outer bush it slims down a fair bit, possible grit damage?

Lots of broken bolts to repair, helicoil out tomorrow.

Here's a picture of the plumbing bits, nuts, bolts and washers in action on a W123 trailing arm. Similar size to the W124 / W201

Do a picture of the anti-roll bar - sounds like corrosion - in which case now is the time to replace...

Cheers bud, I should have purchased some of those plumbing fittings, unfortunately nothing in my collection similar so ended up using anything just to get them out.

Bottle jack worked well on one end.

Just stuck on ball joint now, going to drill base and remove ball - again, nothing of exact size to hold base for pushing/hitting against.

I'll have a through read up on all things bumpy before replacing, photographed everything being removed so should be okay.

Thanks for the tips.

Oh dear - kuh dink

Keep an eye out for second hand vices - they are often half the price of the modern equivalent and although have probably had a hard life will most likely last longer than the monkey metal ones...

I looked at these C clamps which are readily available here but probably not strong enough, needs to be along the lines of above.

This has been my experience, tbh didn't expect these to be in so tight.

To put this job in context it is not uncommon for people to make a start and then take it to a garage...

Persevered..the stuff that looks like rust is Meyle grease, big red label saying 'do not remove'..

Flaring came out well too.

Rubbed down followed with smooth black Hammerite.

Well if the Hammerite has made an appearance this means you're having fun!

Yup, probably not everyone's favorite product, but I have found the finish hard to beat.

..btw, the torsion bar seems to be okay even though it narrows between the support bushes.

Better coated.

One down, one to go - keen eyed readers may pick up on the hand written Melye part number following painting ..lol

..you missed that one Stretch..

Front struts and dust shields added to list for replacement, hence awkward paint job.
