Exclamation Excitement

I'd be beyond excited if I had an engine that looks like that .

Getting ready for the show this Sunday

We hope to get the engine done and in the car (not saying which car), ready for the Mercedes Motoring show in Glendale this Sunday. We got all the plated parts back, and will hopefully get it assembled Thursday. The plated parts look awesome! Blue also finished the polishing of the rest of the aluminum parts. More photos to come tomorrow!

? What's this about a show in Glendale ? .

I heard a vague mention of it, maybe a M-B swap meet, I have some old factory shop manuals I'd like to take and sell if that's O.K. ?.

Address please .

TIA,

Although Blue and I got a lot of work done on the engine today, we ran out of time and did not get the engine put in the car. Blue decided to just take the engine in it's current state to the car show on Sunday. It is really looking good!

I made a stand for the engine. It barely fit in the back of his 124 wagon (the 1990 RHD 230TE we traveled Europe in 2017). Blue will be displaying it at the car show.

Engine install

We are ready to install the engine (Finally!). Got the crank set at 25 degrees, and the injection pump installed. It is mostly assembled, and the engine bay is almost ready to accept the engine (needs to be cleaned first). We hope to have it running tomorrow, YAY!!!!!
