Emmerich,

Doesn't matter what You or I call them or their Lobbyist/Lawyers,
they're the Most Vile group of Money Grubbing,Machiavellian Shysters to crawl the Planet
since before Used Car Salesmen were Spawned.

NOTHING the Oil Lobby can Promote/Prognosticate/Obfuscate can benefit any
but themselves.

Latest Madison Avenue Ploy on their behalf are ads trying to "Get Out Ahead"
of the fact that Fracking Fluids ALWAYS end up in the DRINKING WATER table.
"Clean NATURAL AMERICAN GAS"
[That would be the S**t being Imported from Algeria and Venezuela through
LNG terminals?]

Show me some that's NOT being Burned Off at the Domestic Well head as a Waste
Product.

B.P. ? That's a Limey Consortium of European Thieves.

Exxon/Mobil, Chevron ? Those are Homeboys Befouling they're own Mother's

Absolutely NOTHING anyone in the Petroleum Industry has to say is worth
my time to listen to.
I know they have not the best interests of America or it's Citizens in their

Begging pardon, but Rev. Wright strikes me as about 20% as loony as some of the characters at Perry's event. I don't like Wright for a number of reasons - one thing that really rubbed me wrong was his regular thing of putting righteous indignation and bombast into his words while reading from notes. You never would have seen MLK doing that. He spoke from the top of his head, from his heart, letting the emotion rise when and where it would.

Wright is an ass but he's not completely insane.

I must confess, I've never gotten a drift from Kerry that he harbors some sort of irrational hatred for his parents.

I've been struggling in these exchanges.

I recognize that I've been equivocating (referred to as 'feint & dodge') and I'll stop.

I talk with lefties, non-believers and academicians often. It's usually no big deal.

Ain't working here. I'll fix 'my stuff.'

Later.

not what he said...

"...they know we have authority over them..."

in Jesus Christ's name.

These are spiritual pathogens. Somewhat analogous to microbes, germs, etc.

They are not physical, they are of the realm of the Spirit.

Fallen man is of the 'flesh' and to him things of the Spirit cannot be fathomed.

Paul discusses this in 1 Cor 2.

Rev. Wright is crazier than an outhouse rat.

On the other hand, he seems to be one of the more sane of 0bama's associates.

Let's imagine a Spirit-led psychiatrist. How does that psychiatrist isolate the specific demon/germ and identify it as a the cause? How is it differentiated from an environmental cause or a malfunction in brain chemistry.
I've been present at a few exorcisms in my day and never saw anyone attempt to make the differentiation. Do Spirit-led psychiatrists actually attempt to differentiate different possible causes?

Kerry,

Is it possible that demons, and what modern science might call "illnesses" are really the same with one laid over top of the other, so to speak?
I'm thinking of a story from the OT, ( and alcohol and fatigue are clouding my memory) where The people of Israel were fighting an enemy ( Amalekites?). There was a real battle going on in the valley between men armed with real weapons, inflicting real wounds. But up on the mountain was Moses and some assistants. When Moses help his hands up toward God, Israel prevailed, but when he let his arms down, the enemy prevailed. When Moses became too tired to hold up his arms, the others made props to hold up his arms and Israel prevailed.
Same sort of thing when God was giving Moses the directions to build the Tabernacle, and he was told to make it like the one he had seen in heaven.
Is it possible that our reality here mirrors a reality somewhere else? Both "realities" are "real".

I've known at least one epileptic called 'demon possessed' by a person like Bickle. Have watched exorcism attempts on the person. Didn't solve his problem. Epileptic medication can limit seizures. Which explanation is more credible? The one that deals with the problem more successfully. I don't think they're equally credible explanations. Same with Moses. I'd look for better weaponry or superior military tactics instead of whether he was holding his hands to God.

Are epilepsy/demon possessed two equally possible descriptions of the same phenomenon in your view?

Here is the main problem.
We do not require a majority of the vote to be for one person.
We do for any other race... from the lowest up TO the presidency... and don't get me started on the electoral college.....
If we required an actual majority of the popular vote... then third parties ...or forth parties .... could get into the action and provide their ideas...which in the past have been very helpful... but when it comes down to ' the lesser of two evils'.... you still wind up with an ' evil'...
In other words... we should have a runoff election if one person does not get a majority of the popular vote for president.

I do not know, but I accept that possibility. I went to college with a guy who had epilepsy; saw some seizures. I have no personal experience, of which I am aware, with demon possession.
I wish I had a simple explanation for all the phenomena in the world. ( See, Christians can say " I don't know")

Let's step back a small step.

I'm currently involved in a major healing process. So it goes.

I am working with three different physicians, a psychologist, a counselor, a physical therapist, a chiropractor and a naturopath.

I've tried to pick folks that at least respect each others discipline but it's imperfect.

Together they have and continue to help me. But some of them don't believe the effectiveness of the other perspectives. I'm comfortable with my decisions and do not let these differences cause problems.

Now your question. I'd try to find a psychiatrist and Spirit-led (thank you for using a capital letter) guide and benefit from both.

Oh. To the list of folks helping me right now I also have a prayer-team across the country. And quite a few folks right here on PP. Thank you everyone.

.
