Hard to predict the future but if all goes according to plan, my next MB hasn’t been made yet, nor will it be for well over a decade!

I didn't know that Harold Pietschmann had a hand in developing the GLK! the hybrid is a modern legend! For those who don’t know, Harold is one of the most well known of 4WD gurus around. He has a real good web site at www.4x4abc.com

since i'm holding out to buy a home/condo so probably not going to be able to upgrade for a long while...
but if i can i am definitely going to hold out for the 2003 CLK320 or possibly CLK500...

but if finances are nice...i'm going to shoot for a 500E or an early year s600 coupe.

Like Placo, I would really like to get a diesel, but a newer one. My '93 190e has only 77k, so I don't see myself parting with it for many years. So by then, who knows what'll be in my future!!

Once I graduate from college.. but before med school...

I plan on finding a 126 sedan, preferably a 560sel. Then strip it down and repaint it black, have a Wald body kit and put an m119 engine in it.

Or.. a 500e/e500 if I find one thats a good example.

Later on in life.. hopefully a G-wagen

Looking right now at a 1987 560SEL, made an offer on a 1989 300TE w/99k....guy wants too much as the history is not fully documented.....if the right 300sdl came up maybe or a 560sec (YES).....basically, any really nice w126 sedan or coupe (whatever the chassis number is for the sec)....clean 300e....

going to replace the 84 300TD....miss the better handling of the 124 and the power of the 560 is quite seductive.....whatever I find in the above models at the right price with a compleely documented service history. So far only the 560sel is fully documented. It is so damn big, though. I cannot imagine throwing a w126 around a bumpy mountain road the way I used to do with my 124 sedan. The 124 is the best handling car I've ever driven.....better than the 91 Porsche C2 I sold (treacherous on the edge).....only the 95.5 S6 Audi Avant could be driven faster but it was more expensive to service and road like a truck with the modified suspension.....and could not clear the speed bumps at the airport.

Well since I only have an old 1981 280E, I have my heart set on getting a 380SEC or 500SEC next.
