How to remove? 10mm bolt on front is off. To I need puller, pry off, take off front part then pulley or all at same time. Not sure how to proceed.

Any hints?
I just replaced mine on my '99 E300. The shaft is splined. Sounds like you have a bit of light corrosion between the hub and the shaft. Try a putty knife working around the circumference of the hub/pully gap. Also watch for the shims that will try and fall out when you get the hub off.

Have you verified that the compressor isn't shot?
