Yep, yep and yep (fuel tank screen cleaned not replaced). Why do you ask?

It's just that 13+ 0-60 is a lot.

How are the valves and timing?

13+ is in spec for a 300 with a 617, though I'd like to get it under 13. Valves were adjusted about the same time I replaced the filters, 300 miles. Timing is in spec.

That is correct. In stock form it won't get much under 13, although there are various tweaks to try and improve that. Don't plan on any big gains unless you max out the full load fuel delivery, which opens a separate can o' worms.

Really? I was under the impression, the CDs were faster. I thought 12 seconds was SD territory, so the CDs should be faster... I guess not.

Factory specs show the 123.133 and 123.153 were rated the same curb weight (3495 lbs, likely without fuel) and the same 0-100kph time (14.0 seconds). That's probably right around 13.5 from 0-60mph, based on other factory specs on models where MB published both metric and English data. The 1985 CA models with trap oxidizer were rated 5hp less, and 0.5 second slower, at least partly due to the taller differential ratio.

I don't have the SD specs offhand, but I believe those were in the 14-15 second range...?

If you have Excel, you can poke around this spreadsheet, see the second tab. I need to convert this to PDF:
http://www.w124performance.com/docs/mb/other/acceleration_specs.xls

240D: 17 seconds

350 SDL: 13 seconds

Citroen 2CV: 0-50 in 47.5 seconds (just kidding: actually 22 sec)

1957 180D 0-55 (max speed) in 20 seconds

Have not tested the W201 yet but seems peppy even with NA 2.2 l diesel

My goal is to get it to 13 with a couple of minor tweaks, a little more boost and a slight ALDA adjustment.

I did my 3/4 ton 6.5L diesel truck today... it's got full cab ladder rack, and TONS of tools and stuff in the back seat, front seat, and the driver's side tool box...

9.5seconds...

I'm not ready to time the 5 speed, and the turbo 190's will be timed soon...
