very rare W116 6 cyl diesel!

but I think they never raised the hood to count the cylinders...
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/cto/6031372802.html
seller end listing saying: "Very rear car.it runs and drives like new looks great."
Me thinks they need a spell checker too.

Maybe they counted the master cylinder

How does a well maintained SD need a new engine at 250K miles?

It's a 1998 e300.. I looked at the car. It's very clean and has very little rust. The only rust I could find was a spot around the lip of the inside of the quarter on the drivers side and slight surface rust on the shock mount on the driver side. Rockers looked good. Had 140k miles on it and ran like a charm and had plenty of power. I thought about buying it, and could have had it for $4500 but I decided to buy another project car off of a forum member. The sunroof didn't work, but everything else did.

Bummer, the one on the European wagon needs replacing and that is a screaming deal.

Or would someone like to make commission?

If I was in the area, I'd do it for you! Unfortunately I'm 2.5 hours south of there!

1983 Mercedes Benz 300CD turbo - $1000 (pacifica)

A classic beauty that still has a lot of miles left in her but owned by someone who no longer has the desire to maintain old cars.

This car was a great little runner and daily driver until the key got stuck in the ignition. I can't turn it or get it out (I have replaced these cylinders in MBs several times before), so I think there is a problem with the steering lock, too. Hasn't been started since July; registered non-operational. Will need to be towed.

The engine was rebuilt by Sal's ******** in SF about 25K ago - can't tell for sure because the odometer never worked. Strong engine. Driver's window has to be helped up by hand; I have a new/used regulator in the trunk but, as said before, I just don't have it in me to work on cars any longer. Battery about a year old.

It is a sin to let this car sit and not pass it along to someone who would love her. Without much work and little cash you could have a still-great car that has always been a joy to drive (windows and roof open on a sunny day - oh my!) and still good for many, many thousands of miles.

If you are still reading and understand the value of what I am offering, give a call and come see.

Mercedes 300D Manual transmission diesel - $4850 (mountain view)

56k original miles. Euro model ; Imported from the German domestic market.
This car comes with the legendary OM617 diesel engine with factory 4-speed manual ! Engine is very smooth and starts up every time, even in cold. New brakes lines front & rear. It also has new front & rear shocks. Dashboard has no cracks, German radio works, sunroof does not leak. Manual windows & HVAC -- this is a truly FULL mechanical W123!

What it needs:
Tires. They are old, little bit cracked. Please don't drive long distances with these.
A/C charge, it does not blow cold
The keys will not lock/open driver door (perhaps lock cylinder jammed?).
Instrument cluster lighting does not work
TLC - this is an older car that has spent a lot of time sitting and not being driven

I have many more pictures. Email me for a link, craigslist doesn't like the URL in the post
