1983 Mercedes 240D 4-speed manual - $7300 (Loma Linda)

Selling my Mercedes 240D with the rare 4-speed manual transmission and even rarer Cypress Green Metallic color paint. This was the factory color back in 83' and very hard to find. Car is in mint condition, drives perfectly and gets almost 50mpg on the freeway. 240D's are known to be as slow as molasses and this one is no different, however, the manual transmission does help it significantly so it's not quite as slow as its automatic transmission counterpart. Once it gets on the freeway, it does maintain 65 - 70 pretty easily though. I've invested quite a bit of time and money to make it look and run as good as it does, with all new upper and lower control arms, tie rod and ball joints which brought the handling back to where it should be. I also installed a set of slightly lower than stock H&R springs sourced and special ordered from Germany. The car handles much better than stock but the ride is not harsh at all like many "lowered" cars seem to suffer from. It does have an R134 AC conversion but there is a leak somewhere in the system so the ac doesnt work at the moment. Also, strong aftermarket kevlar drive belts have been installed which will not need replacement for many more years. A beautiful Nardi steering wheel finishes things off nicely and adds to the beautiful and intact interior. This car was purchased from the original owner who bought it brand new from the factory in Germany and upon discharge from the military, took a European tour with it before having it shipped back to the States, hence the very rare European delivery badge you see on the grille. You will also notice the European bumpers and license plate as well. This is a very special 240D with legitimate German history to it and I loathe to sell it, but I'll be moving to the mountains soon and I need an AWD car. That being said, I am in no hurry to sell it and don't need the money so low ballers will be ignored. If you're looking for a $1500 heap to get you from point A to B you're looking at the wrong car, this is an enthusiast car which you could drive across the country right now...as it sits...needing nothing. I might be interested in a nice AWD Audi or Jaguar X-type or Subaru although it needs to be of similar value to mine. If the ad is still up, the car is still available. I will delete once the car is sold, call or txt, thanks!

I did not notice the SLS. A 4 cylinder (OM616) with the SLS is a very, very rare bird indeed.

What a shame this is, I can't believe someone would do this to a poor old 300td.

Mercedes 220d diesel - $1500 (redwood city)

Brand new interior, body very good. Spare motor and trans. She doesn't currently run, but did recently. I don't know much about Mercedes diesels think I just got in a little over my head. Needs a head gasket and a little bit of time/patience to bleed it right. Comes with an injector tester and a number of other parts/tools. 1500 obo, make an offer. Give me a call, wanna see this guy gone.

Calm down, it’s a sedan.

1983 300TD Mercedes Benz - $725 (sebastopol)

White, straight body no accidents.
Good tires (michelin), sound brakes and drivetrain, solid battery with several years of life left, was getting close to 30 MPG when
driven regularly. Always had Mobil 1 synthetic oil with regular changes, it runs awesome, plenty of power. I don't use it anymore so it needs a new home.
Issues: no AC, heater and fan control unit needs replacement, starter occasionally sticks so
that also needs replacement eventually. No passenger side mirror.
Otherwise it's good. The interior is decent, it has a good roof rack with bike carriers all with working locks and keys.
Clean title but registration needs to be updated to be current as I have it on non-op status with the DMV right now.
I will take care of this for you if you are serious about buying it.
