I recently bought a reman engine and a reman transmission from them (on two separate occasions). I didn't have any problems with the service, the components, the shipping, or the core refund. Both the engine and transmission are working perfectly. The last reman transmission I bought from them lasted about 350k miles, it was still working when I replaced it but the fluid had gotten ugly so something had failed. I have heard other people complain about their customer service. YMMV.

Something tells me that Adsit doesn't train their people the basics of good customer service. They seem to have a good selection of parts but without good customer service, it's all wrecked.

I have had A problem with Fastlane that was solved so fast my head spun. I've come to depend on them for my parts.

Adsit is located in Muncie, IN:

I use Fastlane, my indy, or the local dealer for most of my parts.

The answer might be in here, but I only read a few pages into this. Where does one get a rebuilt transmission if not from them?

+1 B Carlston's Link

Three months ago I had Sun Valley put in a rebuilt in my 300sdl. Waited while they did it. 8,000 mile later and its running well. They have a favorable 2 yr unlimited mile warranty. Recommended by many.

Another alternative, especially if you're looking for a high-performance or modified MB transmission rebuild:

I would call adsitco, ask for an rma, tell them I was going to dispute the charge if they didn't refund my $$ or overnight my correct parts. Then I would immediately call my credit card company and begin the process. I have only had to dispute 2 chardes ever. It was easy both times.

For some strange reason some people like to be abused. Or never learn. They also advertise or did heavily in hemmings motor news so there is always a new string of customers to work over.

My suspicion is that on transmission and engine rebuilds they are actually done by external sources to the company. They so far appear to know what they are doing according to several members that have purchased those components from them.
