The problem is, theres not enough pictures of the car but they were taken in a pretty fancy neighborhood so it must be a good car:D

Saw the 200D today
Quote:
This 200D would take a lot of work. It would need to be completely stripped if the rust would allow a rebuild of the body. The paperwork calls it a 1968; perhaps it was a '67 first registered in '68 or something. Owner had it in storage yard as project car but stopped making rent payments and let it go. Storage yard wants to get rid of it. Here's what I saw: • Engine complete except for battery • Glass OK • Four flat tires, car sits very low, cannot see underneath • No wheel covers (trunk?) • Windows hard to crank down due to growth of mold/moss on weatherstripping • Package shelf and back of rear seat rotten • Front seats and rear seat bottom OK but probably very musty • Dash OK and apparently complete • Trunk locked; cannot see underneath to determine whether rusted through. • Doors all open and close solidly so body probably not tweaked • Body visibly straight, no accidents or if accidents then well repaired • LR tail area small damage (dings) and rust at side marker light, not rusted through • Under doors rusty, poss from interior leaks (foot wells) but not rusted through; I poked around with a knife blade and didn't go through anywhere • Interior water intrusion evident, probably due to aged weatherstripping. • Rust LR footwell but not rusted through, feels solid • Damp LF footwell • Puddle RR footwell, couldn't find plug to drain 1/4" to 1/2" water under rotten rubber mat • Moss growing in RF footwell Jeremy |
Craig's List TURD Thread
I think it could be an interesting exercise to take a terd & move it into "high-gear terd mode" by installing as many Yurro parts on the car as they make for that particular model & documenting wear-out & premature failure rates for the Yurro-y goodness.

Not a MB, or craigslist but still a turd

Guys, put the photos in this thread. Those links are going to expire in a few weeks

I'd pay $750 for that 200D if it were close to me. Looks solid and clean - at least the interior is clean. Wash off that bird turd or moss or whatever that is and it would look pretty good.

I saw that. I'm not sure what purpose it is serving, though. |
