I recently decided to swap my sluggish 240d engine and tranny for the turbo 300d. All was going well and lining up. I changed the drive shaft, rear differential, new bushings, new mounts, ect. Currently the 300d engine is sitting in the the 240d chassis and everything is lined up but I discovered that unlike the 300d the engine only has 1 engine shock/damperer as opposed to 2. Is it worth the time to weld the second one on there? And the one that is on there is about an inch short so I had to use the top piece from the 240d in order to connect it to the chassis. Should I take the time to install an additional engine shock? Also, I can't find the tachometer wiring harness, I can see it where the instrument cluster is but it's in such a wad I can't pull it out or knife it out rather. Is there a harness I can buy, or is there a simple way to trace it? I really need help with the engine shocks I really want this beast out of my grade and out on the open roads.
