Before I started the Sanden conversions, I replaced my R4 with a Four Seasons unit, and it was found to be bad AFTER installing it (Installation by me, everything else done by a reputable shop). I returned it and got my money back, and bought a new Compressorworks unit. It was bad right out of the box! That is when I had had enough with the R4, and designed the Sanden bracket. You would almost be better off with an older (known to be good) Harrison unit.

EDIT: BTW, I have a couple known good R4's that were taken off low mileage cars, and replaced with a Sanden. You are welcome to have them for the cost of boxing and shipping.
