I emailed Mobil because Walmart wasn't on the list and they got back to me within the day and let me know that they are an approved vendor for the rebate. It's possible that they will honor an Amazon purchase, but unfortunately it's a bit close to the deadline to get a reply from Mobil if it has any bearing on anyone's decision. It's probably worth an online search to see if this has been discussed elsewhere.
