Rich - have a great time. Last September I took the MBCA one week tour in Stuttgart. Our tour took in the S class assembly line, the AMG plant, the Classic Center in Fellbach, both the Mercedes and Porsche museums as well as the homes/workshops of Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler as well as two private companies that upgraded classic Mercedes with AMG engines, suspension, and brakes. All capped off by an afternoon at the Stuttgart Octoberfest.

Wow! That's a lot of cool stuff to see. We have a tight schedule to keep, so only a few stops are planned in Germany. The car show in Essen is supposed to be good, so that may be one of the highlights of the trip. Last time, parking right in front of the Mercedes-Benz museum and the museum itself was way cool. We plan to visit the guys at the 123 club, just as we did last time. Of course there will be photos........Rich

We picked up the version 2.0 1990 Mercedes 230 TE RHD Estate in Sheffield, UK on Tuesday, ( after a total of 31 hours of travel ), and did some repairs and cleaning. Coincidentally it is nearly 2 years to the week that this escapade is repeating itself. Wednesday evening, we travelled through the superbly scenic Lakes District before crossing into our second country- Scotland. Crack of dawn Thursday morning, we boarded a ferry, crossed the Irish Sea to arrive in a gloomy, yet cheery, Northern Ireland.

We are not quite shure what date we will be going through there, but we will try to Visit. We will keep in touch, sounds like fun.

We met up with Markus Beesold at the Titanic Museum in Belfast, Northern Ireland in order to present him with three very special, high mileage awards from MBUSA- 250K, 500K and 750K KMs for his noted world travels the 1982 200D Brauner Benz, which Blue now owns. Markus then spent the whole day enthusiastically showing us around Belfast and helping us do various upgrades to the car to get it more prepared for our excursion, as well as find some special souvenirs.The achievement Markus accomplished is, in itself, of Titanic proportions!

We stopped by Mercedes Mark's place to buy a few little parts for the TE, and also do some repairs. Just looking around, there are so many cool cars here. An SL 63 AMG, several 190E 2.3-16, an E270 CDI (many E and C class CDI's can be seen on the road here every day), several W126's, and lots of utter fun stuff.
