BOT Bring a Trailer, Kijiji, Craigslist lies - MPG Lies

I just wanted to say be careful out there when buying these vehicles - there are so many people who state their OM616/OM617 that they are selling gets 40-50MPG. These cars got decent mileage for the year, and at the time they were new, but it's more like 24-27. Maybe max 28-30 brand new off the lot, if you have a 240D OM616 and never went above 55 MP/H.

It's just funny when you see people with these older W123 or W126, stating that their diesel gets 35-40MPG. Outright lies. And yeah, only 240,000k miles, "barely broke in", "will go a million", but they don't mention the odometer hasn't worked in 20 years. lol. Crazyness.
