Pretty good, now that the media and pol's are fixated on mortgages the Generals are being General's and the Soldiers are getting the job done.

The analogy works and you know it. Thank you for serving and I don't belittle it one bit, matter of fact I sent out many notes, calls, ect....to friends and relatives honoring their service last week. My dad and members of this forum included.

Past service or not, I doubt you would call me full of **** to my face. Did you learn this manner of anonymous slander in the Army or from a daughter perhaps? Being a bitter old man doesn't give you the right to say a young guy you haven't met can't testify to his convictions.

Despite recent rosey reports I cannot imagine it is very good.

I suspect the reporters of such good news are wearing foil hats and very very rosey glasses!

Reading an actual report is better than making uneducated so called analysis.

Do you have anything other than a hunch to support your opinion?

3 US soldiers killed in Iraq suicide attack

Easy to sit in a cozy comforts of your house and declare its going good, try asking those who are getting maimed or ask the kin of the ones who are dying. I am sure you will hear another perspective.

Nope, the only reason you have to hold is because you are always busy dumping your log in the porcelain

This is just one glaring prime example of your log dumping.

We declared victory though!

The phrase 'All men are created equal' is also a fantasy. However it is something worth striving towards, don't you think?

Easy: Treat them all as equal in the eyes of the law.

I have,, have you? Oh, btw, 21 years active duty. Retired now, but still have lots of friends that are in. I'm a Navy contractor now, so I get to talk to all kinds of people coming back from there. Not very funny how this topic started as desertion rates, and ended up degrading to what it did. Oh, lets quit with the CBS news and other media crap, all they do is hype what they think we as citizens want to hear. They can put any kind of spin on any story.

Yes. That was the easy part, and it took 200 years to make it happen.

Check back in ten years.

Besides, I never suggested it is any more than my opinion.
