One must wonder about what Gloria Cain's position is going to be. If she knew about the financial aid, then her statement would take a lot of the story away, but given the delay, it is likely that she was blindsided by her husband's alleged generosity.

It is so common for married men to offer an unmarried woman "financial support", isn't it?

Well, so you admit, this is only done to cover up unfavorable information, then? Why don't you just say it? Or do you prefer to just meander off the topic as a way to hide that you are forced to admit I am right?
