An estimated GAZILLION JILLION rounds. That's why you can't find any .22 at WalMart for your bugout bag.

Wonder how the BLM would feel if the acreage was populated with feral hogs?

So, how does this endangered tortoise live in the shadows of a solar farm? Sounds like some serious environmental impact studies will be required....or has the solar plan been shelved due to this unexpected blowback?
Of course, if the rancher had been paying his fees I'd wager BLM would not have started up with him.

Cooler Heads Prevail, You Don't Risk Serious Injuries Over Cattle

Las Vegas Police Lt. Dan Zehnder said the showdown was resolved with no injuries and no violence. Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie was able to negotiate a resolution after talking with Bundy, he said.

. . .

"This is a matter of fairness and equity, and we remain disappointed that Cliven Bundy continues to not comply with the same laws that 16,000 public-lands ranchers do every year," Kornze said. "After 20 years and multiple court orders to remove the trespass cattle, Mr. Bundy owes the American taxpayers in excess of $1 million. The BLM will continue to work to resolve the matter administratively and judicially."

The wingnuts can whoop and holler and high five all they want. I foresee a (nother) contempt citation and when he fails to appear in court, BLM and perhaps U.S. Marshals will come back, and NOT for the cows.
The play-soldiers will all have gone back to their trailers. He'll be taken, on his feet or feet first.

This should be entertaining for a while. Perhaps it will catch on elsewhere over the summer. Grab yer popcorn and a ring side seat.

You seem to have an inordinate amount of hatred for the man, why?
If someone pronounced that same level of hatred toward a politically correct group, what would you say about that?

How do you figure that john? Other ranchers will 'lure' the law into confrontations, er what?

I doubt I'd have much of anything to say about it.

It's not hatred. I can't hate who I don't know. Just an extreme level of disrespect. I've witnessed all my life the damage these welfare ranchers do fragile western graze lands. Herds too big, no respect for pasture rotation. Damaged riparian areas that take years to recover. All the while capitalizing on the absolute bullshlt image that they're "rugged individualists", COWBOYS BY GOLLY! while sucking off the federal teat, operating their businesses at everyone else's expense. The worst sort of hypocrite.

That's hilarious, but the MM would rather chew off his own arm than use a phone.

Thanks for the context. I understand.

MAYBE these ranchers are asshats, maybe. All I know, when I see this sort of response from the people of the US against federal facist forces, it makes me proud to be American. We don't live in Russia or Nazi Germany. There are too many instances when American citizens are staring down the barrel of a government issued weapon. This has to, MUST change. No more Ruby Ridges, No more Wacos. No more using paramilitary forces against the US people. Americans are tired of this and they WILL fight back.

Lots of these "Rangers" ie Federal Law Enforcement are former SPECOP guys. Makes me sad to think they'd be ok, opening fire on American citizens, the same they swore to protect and defend by taking an oath to uphold the Constitution.

I am not a tinfoil hat nut guy, but aggression like this, paramilitary forces when normal law enforcement channels or adminsitrative actions would better serve the purpose and throttle down the potential violence, are not the answer. Could the feds have won, if the confrontation came to shooting? More than likely, they were carrying lots of firepower, had snipers, air assets, etc. But I don't think that crowd would have dispersed. There would have been lots of dead Americans, killed by their own government, lying out in the open for us all to see. They won't risk that, yet.

That is why it is so important to reign in these agencies. I'd like to see the dissolution of all the fed agencies armed task forces, except for FBI, US Marshals, etc. The conventional law enforcement groups. These "reaction forces" are there for one thing: to employ SPECOP tactics against US cilvilians and kill them. Unacceptable in a free country.
