On a 300 you my have room for the socket and gun a small 2.2L on 2.5 the only way to get the gun on the 27mm bolt was to take the left head light out...

Chuck, the shroud makes the fan working properly , fan sucks air thru the radiator like a funel, whit shroud remouved driving in trafic in hot day you can overheat .
