Vacuum element diaphragm replacement
I've heard someone say that a guy named george murphy sold diaphragms so you could repair the vacuum elements in the A/C systems... anyone have a link to this guy or someone who sells the equivalent?
I looked on FastLane of course, since they're nice enough to provide this website, but unfortunately they dont sell the diaphragm, just the whole element Thx in advance Jason |

Moraine has a point.
However, I am just providing information on alternatives to the forum. If you want new ones, fastlane carries them and it is the place to get them.
Sure, removing the dash is a hell of a job and I do not want to do it again. That is why I tested and re-tested all the diaphragms to see if they held vacuum BEFORE I put them back in. ![]() The difference in price between the new vacuum elements and the just the rubber diaphragms is substantial, not just "a couple of extra dollars". ![]() It has been about three or four years since I changed mine. I guess I have a few more to go.:p Good luck in whatever you decide to do! ![]()
