I'd bring a master cylinder or caliper and go to town, then drive it home, hopefully it sits there.

If I was 550 miles closer, would have another Coupe, #6
Not sure why someone would install a 240D drivetrain, but still worth asking price.

Having owned two naturally aspirated Diesel Coupes I imagine a stick shift 240CD might not be as bad as you think....

Probably right, as there were 240TD's made. If any body/drivetrain combo was on the under powered side, it would be a 240TD.

240CD's too ! I saw one in Hollywood once, tried to catch it but was stuck in opposing traffic .

It was that interesting olive green not available on U.S.A. cars .

You could’ve caught it had you walked faster

Talking Yes, But :

"You could’ve caught it had you walked faster " .

Walking faster than I can now with my cane isn't in the cards anymore .

I hope that $700/offer 1978 300TD doesn't wind up junked, it looks like good bones .

Agreed. The tail lights, backup lights, and SLS parts alone are worth $700!

I was more thinking of the value in it being returned to daily driver Family Truckster status but then I really like White cars living in the Desert....

I could use this as my Shop Truck but it'd be a shame I think, my Shop vehicles really do get used, gently but they get greasy fast .

Besides, I couldn't carry a Motocycle in there .

Still and all it will be a travesty if it gets junked .

For those who like the large versions, and presumably without rust:

I think the rims might be aluminum not steel as the owner advertised.
