Thanks Dan! It looks great. I have been pondering how to keep it that way since I am pretty slovenly in general.

I went to the Indie's today and we spent about an hour under the car looking for things that are too close together and such to sort the vibrations. The biggest thing found is the exhaust pipe hitting the frame on the truck. I'm gonna go get that off the truck tomorrow and get a muff shop to reshape it.

It looks pretty great under there.

Pics attached.

Nah, that don't count as a project unless you're planning to power it with an OM6xx engine!

It is the ubiquitous mustang 2 kit from the Fatman.

Originally I was planning to use the original equipment independant front suspension with its transverse 12 leaf spring and rotary shocks, but I wanted disc brakes and the only fellow who offered a kit for the brakes wanted $1,500 for them. For a bit more I got the mustang two and it included transverse crossmember, sway bar, brakes and rack and pinion steering.

IN the 2 miles I have been able to drive it at a maximum speed of 40 mph, the suspension and steering seems fine, but will need more castor.

[QUOTE=t walgamuth;3662518]Stack it!

I have thought of that. It could happen.

I went out today thinking to take the exhaust system to a shop to re-bend it. John had already scooted the engine to the right as far as it would go and it gave more clearance for the AC compressor.

It helped the exhaust too and he is going to modify that in two spots with a BFH!

The entire drive train now sits about 2" to the right of center for perfect (I am guessing) weight distribution with one person aboard.

Woo hoo!

I'm actually surprised and a bit disappointed at how quiet mine is with no more exhaust system than I have. I'm thinking of installing a big stereo so I can play vroom-vroom sounds as I go down the track.

John also solved the fuel feed problem when going to change primary fuel filter....the line fell off. But we went ahead and changed both filters and the primer pump and treated fuel with biocide.

I don't remember if you ever described your drive train but one of the pictures shows a flex disc. If you've moved your engine/transmission 2" off center I think that you might be exceeding the alignment angle spec for those....they can only tolerate a tiny amount.

It also looks like you're using a straight rear axle which would definitely be a problem for flex discs.

The entire drive train is pushed over about 2" all the way back to the diff input which is also over. The front flex is nice and straight. We retained the mb center bearing and are using the u joint in the center and a u joint on the ford diff.

Hopefully it will all work just right but if it does not that will be a good excuse to put in a fully independent rear end.

He only moved it about 1/4" yesterday.

Sounds like you've got a decent design on the current system....and the built-in excuse for the IRS at the appropriate time
